beast removal update

It's been a week now since the television left our home. There have been moments when I longed to stick a video in just to get a little peace and quiet. Keeping the two year old busy has been the biggest challenge, I didn't realize that he was spending so much time in front of the glowing box. The extremely cold weather didn't help matters much either. We also had lots of visitors this week so more stimulation than usual from outside sources.

At any rate we came to the conculsion that with as much opposition as we encountered we must be on the right track. We've had much more focus on feeding our spirits than before. Having our own quiet times more regularly and feeding our kids more scripture. There have been some huge blessings from this and we are glad.

Next huge monster to tackle - making a schedule for the household to run on.....

The beast. It's amazing how people get so easly dependant on that " thing ". I removed the beast a while back, and it was the best thing I ever did. People didn't quiet agree, but God did. Life seems clearer as the time passes, peace comes in different forms, and God works his ultimate plan.
Blessings on your journey it will truly be amazing.

Hey! That is awesome! We have had a few "TV fasts"...but have never actually removed them. I admire you and your family for seeking God and yielding to this. As for BayouPaPa and myself...we enjoy sitting together watching TV at night. It's our "winding down" time.

BTW, we are leaving for Disney in 2 days, so I won't be around for a little while. Hope you're feeling ok. Take care!
