Creativity in the Word {Day 2}

Scroll down to read Day 1
I will try to have a link up as each day goes live.

It's a wee bit late in the day, just got home from the pastor's retreat, hugged all our kids, ate supper and said enormous thank yous to grandma and grandpa for babysitting, had a cup of tea and phew, here I am, late but not undone.

This weekend I had the immense pleasure of sitting under the influence of Steve Bell.  His message and songs could not have been a better fit for the beginning of this series.  If you have not listened to his music I strongly encourage you to go and have a bit of a listen.  You won't be disappointed.

Today we want to look at the author of creativity and His incredible gift to us.  I'm going to use a few of Steve's thoughts because they were beautifully descriptive.

You don't have to go any further than the first chapter of the Genesis to find God's creativity beginning to flow out.  I loved the word picture that Steve painted for us in describing the Trinity and the expression of them.

"What if," he said, "God was so satiated in love that it just had to
 give way to an external expression and out poured the song of creation?"

Isn't that a fantastic thought?  I immediately thought of C.S. Lewis' book "The Magician's Nephew" wherein the children jump through a portal into a world that is at its' very inception.

The children are witness to the very beginning of the world, they hear a sweet and haunting melody that is so beautiful they can hardly stand it.  After some time they realize it is coming from this immense lion, Aslan.  Then, as they watch and listen the world is birthed; trees, flowers, grass and animals come pouring out of the song.

There really aren't words to describe the music that creation is.  It is a score far too big for our little brains to comprehend and we are part of it.  The Godhead breathed it's very DNA into every aspect of creation including you and me, we are an expression of His love.  His image is stamped into us, we are an expression of Him.  He particularly designed you and me to reflect an aspect of His divine nature.  Like the facets of a diamond, we all come together, every facet reflecting a new piece!

It is such an immense thought I can hardly contain it or convey the rush of emotion that is coursing through me now as I write it.  I want you to get this...YOU ARE MADE IN HIS IMAGE, YOU ARE A DIRECT REFLECTION OF THE CREATOR OF THE COSMOS.  It doesn't get much much better than that.  Just in case you were feeling somewhat small or insignificant, remember that you are an expression of His love, carefully crafted, an expression of His love.

All of creation bears witness to His creativity.  Details that we hardly notice embedded into every living thing.  Why on earth did He bother to make it so intricate and beautiful?  When you realize it came out of love how it could it be anything else.  He is love and he has expressed it in great diversity and just a bit of crazy (ex. giraffes)!

He is crazy in love with us and with this big blue ball we're hanging on to.  God is a detailed, organized, diverse and full of endless ideas.  Perhaps you can relate to one or all of those attributes.  God displayed uncommon creativity in his design for this universe and He used it to make you to.  What are you going to do with it?

It’s the celebration that counts on the happiness, and the rich catalogs of this online shopping site have really made valuable contributions in this regard. Very impressive effort. From www.rightflorist.in
