waiting for heaven {day 10} and a prayer request

This was a poem that I wrote for friends of mine as they were enduring the long wait for their beautiful little girl from Ethiopia.

waiting for heaven

(for adam, krista, jayden and nevaeh)

seconds
     turn to minutes
          turn to hours
               turn to days and weeks and months and years
while we wonder
     and wait
          for promise to be kept
               prayers to be answered
                    circumstances to change
                         for heaven to come down
time keeps moving
enemy and friend
until one day\we wake up to the sunrise
that is after the days of waiting
and we start to live in the days of wonder that are
seconds
     turning to minutes
          turning to hours
               turning to days and weeks and months and years
and we know
with utmost certainty
that it was worth the wait

this little sweetie is undergoing a delicate surgery today, I know her family would appreciate your prayers!
